Design 2678 46 Sloop

This beautifully varnished cold molded sloop was built by the Walsted Baadevaerft yard of Denmark. Built for world cruising for a young family, the boat has cruised extensively throughout Scandinavia, the Baltic, Europe and the United Kingdom.

The interior accommodates four people with additional pilot berths in the salon on both port and starboard sides. Starting forward in the vessel there is an owner’s stateroom forward with “vee” berth, dual dressers, and single hanging locker. A custom deck hatch centered on the “vee” berth will provide both light and ventilation. Aft and to port there is the single head with integral shower, heated towel rack, and mahogany detailing. Directly athwartships of the head is a salon storage and display unit, set to counter height.

Moving aft is the salon with its port and starboard settee and folding centerline table. Aft and to port of the salon is the generous galley, fit with a stainless steel sink, stove, and countertop. The centerline galley counter will house the main engine and assorted machinery, as well as the fireplace in a recess on its forward face. Aft and to starboard of the salon is the navigation station with seating for two and built in cabinets for navigation, sailing, and electrical instrumentation. Aft of the navigation station is the aft stateroom, complete with a double bed and hanging locker.

A sistership has been built to this design. Plans are available for construction.
